Hero  Robinson McCann

I am an abstract painter and fine artist based in Stroud, Gloucs. I work with a range of mediums and techniques such as gouache on canvas, acrylic and acrylic spray paint. This online portfolio contains work both finished and incomplete to cohesively showcase the range in my work.

I graduated from the University of Edinburgh, with a MA in History, in Nov 2024. Also, I completed Art Foundation level 3 with a distinction from South Gloucestershire and Stroud Collage, in 2020.

Recently, I have acquired a studio space in Stroud with @StroudStudios. This has given me the opportunity to focus properly on my art in the coming year, with the aim to apply for a Fine Art masters degree in the autumn of 2025.

There are a range of influences I find for my work, however the natural sciences and the natural world will always be a primary inspiration for my paintings. As you can see from my finished and unfinished work, quantum physics, astronomy and sociology have all played their part in my process. Moving forward, I hope to expand my own understanding of the world alongside my artwork.
